'Agni' or 'Fire' is the god of Sacrifice and knowledge. It is called sacrificial god because in the 'Yajanas', the offers is made to the fire and the message was conveyed to god for the fruitful activity. It is also called a messenger god. While when the light dwells in nature it brings the message of knowledge because a light always spreads a message of wisdom while the dark only resembles the fear and negative energy. Since, for life the three basic needs are food, shelter and cloth. All this is only possible when one earn anything from the work. Because when one works gets paid and based on those earnings one maintain their lifestyle. Similarly the men grow to any height if he is great in work but it never comes to one if he is not a follower of time say. Likewise if one follows and respect then he is truly to achieve it. That is what here the philosopher is talking about the followings which are to be made on the gods.
