Sam the black and white cat has nothing to laugh about. First she is thrown out of the house, then she finds shelter in a sewer pipe and eats what crosses her path. When she wants to sip some water from the pond in the neighbor's garden, she is attacked by Maya the big white dog and chased into a tree. Then something happens to her that has never happened to any other cat. When she drops from the tree onto Maya's back, she has the wildest ride of her life. After that, however, she is only pursued and hunted. When another dog is in the neighbor's garden, Sam has no peace. When Maya dies, Tao, the little brown dog, takes command. It grows fast and is much bigger and faster. He almost caught Sam if she hadn't pulled her sharp claws over his head. That earned her respect. Autorenporträt
Peter R. Blank writes children's books and short stories after retirement. After studying Civil Engineering at the Technical University of Darmstadt and the 2nd State Examination for the Higher Technical Administrative Service, he worked in various areas of State and Municipal administration. Waste management and environmental and immission control were his tasks. That was more exciting than he thought at the beginning. The protection of groundwater, soil and the air were already the major challenges at that time and required a lot of commitment. He volunteered for several years in the local politics of his hometown and was later active in many honorary positions. For more than 17 years, he was the State Chairman of the Municipal Waste mManagement and Street Cleaning Organisation VKS (now VKU) in Baden-Württemberg and Vice President at the federal level. Today he is involved in an aid project (Works of Mercy Foundation) for street children and orphans, as well as for needy people in the Philippines, which he founded in 2007 with friends. His hobbies were paragliding and long-distance running. Many half and whole marathons as well as some 50 miles night runs were part of it. He still loves cruising around on his heavy motorcycle. He enjoys being with his three children and their families (including seven grandchildren). He himself lives again in the City of Karlsruhe.
