It presents the emergence of the "roda" and the rise of samba, the social context of its creators and the transformations and reconfigurations of this musical genre that has endured over time. It addresses the issue of patrimonialization in Brazil, with an emphasis on the matrices that form Rio's samba - partido-alto samba, samba de terreiro and samba-enredo - through the process of registering these matrices as Brazil's intangible cultural heritage in 2007. It analyzes interviews with musicians who are members of Samba da Ouvidor, questionnaires from its audience and the roda's virtual spaces, using content analysis methodology based on three fundamental concepts found in all the actors in this analysis process: identity, affective memory and resistance. It also deals with the concept of samba memorization in the context of Samba da Ouvidor, based on the analyses carried out and the sambas sung at Roda events. It concludes by presenting the Samba da Ouvidor tree, a kind of "mindmap", with the aim of visually demonstrating the interweaving of memories of the Samba da Ouvidor described based on the results of the analysis and studies carried out.
