Autorenporträt
Dr. Eric Yuri Reznik was born in Kiev, Ukraine (USSR) in 1966 and came to the United States in 1978. He graduated Florida International University with Bachelors in Psychology in 1990. In 1994 he received a Master's Degree in clinical psychology with honors from Miami Institute of Psychology (currently, Carlos Albizu University). In 1999 he received his Doctorate in clinical psychology from Miami Institute of Psychology (currently, Carlos Albizu University). Since 1999, he maintains a successful practice in Clinical Psychology.Dr. Reznik began his Martial Arts training Tae Kwon Do - Moo Duk Kwan with Bill Santiago under Master Richard Chun. He achieved a High Brown Belt. At the same time he practiced Saminchilu Chuan Fa Gung Fu under Louis Ortega. He achieved a Black Belt of third degree and nine stripes (equivalent to the 5th degree in Karate). While training in these systems, Dr. Reznik supplemented with additional training in Hapkido, Aiki-jitsu, Kyusho-jitsu, and Kali-Eskrima. Throughout his Martial Arts career, he ran several Dojos in the South Florida Area. He also competed in local, national and international competition: this include FBBA, WAKO, BBL, USKA, NASKA, and the first International Martial Arts competition held in St. Petersburg Russia in 1992. He became the head instructor of Saminchilu system teaching the art his Dojo.Dr. Reznik engaged not only in physical aspects of Martial Arts, but also in philosophical and therapeutic. In 1999, he published a dissertation in Therapeutic Martial Arts. As a result of his work, he was invited present his dissertation and its application in many national conferences. Additionally, he ran several programs in Therapeutic Martial Arts in such facilities as Children Home Society, Child and Family Enrichment Program, Family Service Planning Team, Our Kids of Dade County. In 1999, he combined his Clinical Practice office with a Dojo teaching Therapeutic Martial Arts and Saminchilu.Between 2001 - 2007 Dr. Reznik was inducted into the Eastern International Martial Arts Hall of Fame for such honors as Humanitarian, Instructor of the Year, and Martial Artist of the Year. He continues to train with different systems and runs his own competition.
