Eric Von Gardey lives in a small upstate New York town with his wife of 24 years. She is his inspiration, encouraging him to write and to reach his dreams. Sampson is a real member of the Von Gardey family, and this is his story. Eric takes his inspiration for the first book of this series from the local hard working farmers and their love for animals. About the Illustrator Rachel Von Gardey is an illustrator working in various mediums. She resides in upstate New York and finds her inspiration in the beauty of creation. When she's not creating a work of art she enjoys writing, gardening, a hot cup of tea and a good read.
