He and Dr. Fitzgerald Hill wrote Crackback!, analyzing the challenges faced by Black college football coaches. Jeff Suess is a history columnist at the Cincinnati Enquirer and the author of several history books, including The Cincinnati Bengals: An Illustrated Timeline with Rick Pender.
