Autorenporträt
Born in Yorkshire, where he still lives, David Taylor left school at the age of fifteen. After a brief period as a motor mechanic, he joined the Royal Air Force, where he continued his education, and saw the world, literally. In his twelve years of service - three of which were spent in Far East - he visited 38 countries. Emigrating to America after leaving the RAF, in 1964, he secured a job in the oil industry. It was to be a fleeting emigration, but a long period away from home, 30 years, during which he again travelled extensively. Ninety-six countries at the last count, some of which he knows very well, and which provide background locations for his novels. During his free time he enjoys reading, travel, and walking - though this is very restricted these days due to health problems. His many interests include aviation, motor racing, and photography, although he admits he now rarely finds time to devote himself fully to any of them. Santa's Claws is his second novel.
