The Reverend Oliver Francis Walby (O. F Walby) was in the forefront of religio-sexual innovation. His affairs must be managed by Elliot, who keeps his eyes on the prize of spreading Walby's doctrine of "Che-su", a politico-theological philosophy that combines Jesus' love for the masses with Che Guevara's call for armed rebellion. With the evanescent Walby in tow, Elliot sets out on a comic pilgrimage to make contact with the "true revolutionaries" of FARS (Frente Armado de la Revolucion Santense) and its charismatic leader, La Mama.
