Warum empfehle ich ausgerechnet dieses Buch von Stephen King ?
Weil ich nicht in der Lage war meine Gedanken davon zu lösen - und nachts zu wenig Schlaf bekam, weil ich das Buch nicht aus der Hand legen konnte. Das Buch hat eine unglaubliche Sogwirkung - falls Sie Kummer haben oder krank sind, werden Sie bei der Lektüre garantiert von Ihren Sorgen abgelenkt.
Ich habe zum Schluss des Buches bewusst langsamer gelesen - oh war das schwer - damit ich länger etwas davon habe. Ich kenne von Stephen King viele Werke und bin immer wieder fasziniert über seinen Erfindungsreichtum und seine Kunst, uns dort zu packen, wo wir am verletztlichsten und ängstlichsten sind.
Kein plumpes Monster, bei dessen Anblick man einmal erschrickt und danach lacht, nein, man hört die Tür quietschen und das Geräusch hört nicht auf, nur ein modriger Geruch kommt übelerregend entgegen. " Escapism" der köstlichsten Art !
