This book is based on a Masters degree thesis on perceptions of social workers' on juvenile crime prevention in Sweden. Interviews with six social workers working with young offenders were conducted. Social worker's identify societal strain, conflicting laws, lack of proper integration of immigrant youths and drug abuse problems as among obstacles to preventing juvenile crime. The author discusses the strategies needed to saving the young.
