After graduating from Leeds University, Keith C.R. Johnston spent his entire career teaching history at Scarborough Sixth Form College. Since retiring he has completed an MA at York University and been very active in Scarborough Archaeological and Historical Society, of which he is secretary and editor of its publication 'Transactions'.
