Autorenporträt
Kenneth Francis Pearson began his literary journey when handed a copy of THE DHARMA BUMS by Jack Kerouac. Since then, Kenneth's wonder while wandering has not ceased. He grew up in the Hudson Valley of New York, but has lived in Southwestern Michigan, along the I-25 Corridor of Colorado and now calls Southern Arizona his home. As a late bloomer in his formal education, Kenneth has become an advocate for continuous learning and strives to instill this mindset in those he meets. "There are so many people who stop learning once they reach a certain age," he states. "They settle into their lives and mentally stagnate without seeking further educational growth. I only started to appreciate learning as I aged." Poetry serves not only as his education, but as a catalyst for his internal growth. It provides the outlet needed to cope with the difficult subjects we all face.SCATTERED is his third collection of poetry. His verse has been influenced by Edgar Allan Poe, Yevgeny Yevtushenko, Alexander Pushkin, and Lawrence Ferlinghetti.
