Nowadays parallel and distributed systems are revolutionized into grid computing systems. Grid computing is a set of dynamic, heterogeneous resources such as processors, sensors, data storage systems, applications and other devices. These resources are globally spread and connected via internet to provide resource sharing. These resources will be owned by different organizations or individuals and are shared by many users who demand faster rate of problem execution in an economical way. A grid is a hardware and software infrastructure that provides dependable, consistent, pervasive and inexpensive access to high end computationalcapabilities. The main objective of this research study is to schedule a parallel program on the grid system of heterogeneous resources such that the total completion time of the program is minimized and the resource utilization is maximized by balancing the load across resources.
