No nation of the world can develop more than its Education system. Education remains a vital tool of liberation from crude ways of life to highly advanced one. Every school belongs to a certain community. The need for school-community relations is not debatable because of the benefits derived from such cooperative interactions. This is for the reason that the school is part of the community in which it is located. Hence, the full values of education can only be realized by a close interaction between the school and its host community. This text focuses on the concepts school-community relations, problems militating against school community relationship, effect of school-community relationship on the development of the school and recommendations were been made on how best school community-relations should be managed for a sustainable development in Nigeria.
