The purpose of the study is to examine the various actions taken and status achieved relating to school education in Rajasthan districts. To examine the determinants of Dropout rate and Gross Enrolment Rate in great detail (2015-2016) and challenges also ahead looked into. The present study uses cross-sectional data obtained from main one source i.e. official website of DISE (District Information System for Education), data available of 581 districts in 29 states of India but this study taken the district information report of Rajasthan s 33 districts for 2015-16 on 12 data points for the analysis forms the basis of our investigation... The reliability of analyses based on this data is subject to the limitation of collecting such a huge data. The correlates of two major components of school education namely enrolment and dropout examined using cross- sectional data available at district levels. Since it would be impossible to incorporate every potential aspect to examine school education system we limit to select seven variables of enrolment and four variables responsible for dropout rate in school education.
