Education is undoubtedly an important element in the overall development of every country. Provision of good quality education requires adequate resources. Research indicates that a strong link exist between school resources and students academic performance. The performance of students is considered a vital indicator of good schooling whiles the performance of education is evaluated based on examinations given and attainments of students in such examinations. There has been complaint about the falling standards of education in the world all over and Gomoa East District is not an exception. The poor performance in most Junior High School has been attributed to a number of factors. The problem however is that these poor performance are occurring in a time where there are abundance of educational resources. The purpose of this study therefore was to find out the effects of school resources on students' academic performance in selected Basic schools in Gomoa East District of Ghana.
