One third of the text deals with sports science, while the reminder covers the mechanisms of injury and the principles involved in the treatment to all regions of the body. Autorenporträt
Professor John Bloomfield is an academic at the University of Western Australia and a former national champion sportsman and high level coach. He has also been Chairman of the Australian Institute of Sport, the Australian Sports Science Council and the Australian Sports Medicine Federation. Professor Peter Fricker is Director of Medical Services at the Australian Institute of Sport, a medical officer of several Commonwealth and Olympic Games teams and a practicing sport physician and researcher. Professor Ken Fitch is a practicing sports physician and Chairman of the Medical Commission of the Australian and the Oceania National Olympic Committee, and a member of the Medical Commission of the International Olympic Committee.
