Living abroad enables many students to develop academically, professionally and personally, connecting them to different nations around the world. Academic success within a foreign university is often an arduous task for international students, who must (and/or are at least expected to) adapt to the norms and workings of a new institution quickly and efficiently. This adaptation process is unique to each student, and this book provides an example of what this experience in Canada was like for a Brazilian student, through the latest CsF programme. At the end of the exchange period, there is no doubt that the challenges that each student faced and/or overcame, in a particular and personal way, will be marked as a form of learning for the rest of their life.
