Cancer is defined as a chronic multi-causal disease characterised by the uncontrolled growth of cells that invade tissues and organs and can spread to other parts of the body. It is a major public health problem worldwide, especially in developing countries, due to the rapid growth of the older population. This scientometric study focused on the evaluation of prostate adenocarcinoma using FISH as a cytomolecular tool for analysing the PTEN gene, in the SCOPUS database from 2005 to 2015.
