Porcine circovirus syndrome and associated diseases (PCVAD) has been described in various regions of the world. Its primary agent, porcine circovirus type 2 (PCV2), is associated with high culling rates on farms and significant economic losses. Several risk factors are related to the manifestation of the syndrome's clinical symptoms, including management deficiencies, the presence of co-infections, immunization against the agent and immunostimulation. Among the frequently reported agents associated with PCV2 are porcine parvovirus (PPV) and Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae. The aim of this study was to verify the occurrence of PPV and M. hyopneumoniae, or co-infection with both, in animals diagnosed with PCVAD in intensive pig production systems in the state of Goiás. This was the first report of the association of PCV2 with M. hyopneumoniae in pigs identified with PCVAD in the state of Goiás.
