Together, they live a modest but happy life in East Berlin... That is until the Berlin Wall is built, tearing apart thousands of lives. Despite efforts to evade the event, the couple is tragically separated. An attempt to escape could cost a man his life. While Willie tries to find a way to escape the East to find his beloved Mina, life continues for those on the other side of the wall. Mina must decide whether she will pursue her dreams or turn down the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to move to Paris as a dressmaker. In his debut novel, Search for the Berlin Dressmaker, Andrew Stiller tells a story of love, courage, and hope amidst the historical events in Berlin during the time the wall was built. Stiller has written a compelling GDR love story, building suspense until the end. His travels through eastern Europe and becoming an independent knitwear designer on the side, makes this novel all the more authentic. Stiller owes much of the in-depth details on fashion and dressmaking in this book to personal experience. The incorporation of historical events makes this novel a must-read for historically intrigued romance fans.Hinweis: Dieser Artikel kann nur an eine deutsche Lieferadresse ausgeliefert werden.
