The present study revealed that among the ten varieties/germplasm variety Hisar Anand harboured the highest number of aphids (10.74 aphids/umbel). On the other hand germplasm DH-2 harboured the minimum number of aphids i.e. 6.35aphids/umbel. The data on incidence of seed midge showed that on the basis of season's average,maximum incidence was recorded in cultivar DH-206 (9.09%) and minimum in DH-306 (4.66%).Study conducted on evaluation of insecticides revealed that cypermethrin 10 EC @ 300 ml/ha proved to be the most effective insecticides among all the insecticides followed by fenvalerate 20 EC @ 150ml/ha, chlorpyriphos 20 EC @ 1000 ml/ha and novaluron 10 EC @ 500 ml/ha. On the other hand,malathion 50 EC @ 875 ml/ha and nimbecidine (0.03%) @ 2500 ml/ha proved to be the least effective but superior to control.
