SEASONS OF DIVERSITY won the Alfred G. Bailey award for best poetry manuscript in 2014. That award had been presented via the Writers' Federation of New Brunswick, Canada. A few of these poems in this collection had found their way into the literary journals of several universities and reputable magazines. For the most part all others have not been in print until their appearance in this book. You will find the various seasons cited in the text to be quite diverse and of interest to many walks of life. May you locate yourself in one or more of these poems. The second part of this book contains a gathering of poems entitled views from apartment 301. Most poems in that grouping earned their way into the collection by having been published by literary magazines. Judges of those literary journals determined whether these poems would or would not appear in that publication. This compilation was in part funded by the New Brunswick Arts Council (Canada). A third section is representative of a lifetime of assembled writings ranging from those published, as well as unpublished until their appearance in this writing. This section provides an overview of where the author's pen has been over a period of fifty or more years. A fourth and final attachment to this work contains a number of haiku poems. The entire body of this work surely has some insights for people of all ages. Overall, the author has attempted to -- in as few words as possible -- capture fleeting glimpses of his fellow men and women to express those ideas in the tiniest of narratives. May all readers find an idea on which to hang a piece of their soul.
