Chemical Shift in the Investigation of Compounds with the Microprobe Changes in the X-ray spectra of Ti, Hf, and Ta as a function of their bonding to B were investigated. Lines of the K-, L-, and M-series were measured. Since only the lines of highest intensity are observed in heat excitation, only an indirect dependence on the binding is demonstrable.
