Free secondary education is one of the steps taken by the Kenyan government towards the attainment of Education For All and Millennium Development Goals. Learning in Kenya secondary schools has met several challenges since the introduction of Free Secondary Education. This book explores some of these challenges and the possible remedies. The findings of this study indicate that the education stake holders are facing major challenges in the implementation of the policy with inadequate teachers, inadequate teaching and learning facilities, political influence, poor/inappropriate publicity, lack of teacher motivation and morale and increased enrollments. The book recommends that the government should enhance community participation and develop simple but clear guidelines that should be shared with all stakeholders defining government s role and all the stakeholders obligations in the policy as well as cautioning politicians about giving inadequate/improper information about the policies.
