Caroll Lesage est défenseur des droits des personnes âgées 2SLGBTQIA+ et est retraité de la fonction publique fédérale. En tant que bénévole, il contribue à apporter des changements positifs aux services de soins de santé et aux services sociaux destinés aux personnes âgées 2SLGBTQIA+. Il a reçu la Médaille du jubilé de la reine Elizabeth II, laquelle est décernée aux personnes ayant apporté une contribution exceptionnelle à leur communauté ou au Canada dans son ensemble. Secrets d'un père insaisissable est son premier livre. Dans ses temps libres, Caroll est membre du groupe Ottawa Independent Writers et s'adonne au vélo et au ski de fond. Il vit à Ottawa, Ontario, avec son conjoint Brian et leur chienne Sasha.
