This is Susie Polzin's first novel. It has always been a dream since she was a little girl to write one. She grew up in the Blue Mountains and moved to Queensland at the age of seventeen as a single mother with a one-year-old boy in tow. Then got trapped for three years in a violent relationship. After hiding out for many years, she married and had another boy at the age of twenty-nine. Susie spent many years working in factories and waitressing most nights. She has also become a palmist since the age of sixteen and did this as a hobby ever since and has recently published a book called Modern Day Palmistry. She has remarried after twenty years and has lived and traveled extensively around Australia's top end in a bus coach motorhome from 2014 till 2020. Then settled down just west of Brisbane in Queensland, Australia, with her husband, Shane.
