Demelash Studied Forestry for his BSc. Degree and Farm forestry for his MSc. degree. In 2012-13 academic year he was a Hubert. H Humphrey Fellow at Cornell University, USA.From 1998-2001, he worked as Agroforestry Expert, and from 2001-2008 he worked as forestry researcher. Since 2008 he has been working as Lecturer at Debre Markos University.
