Carissa Lovvorn is a singer, pianist, artist, and author of her debut Children's picture book "Seeds for Sharing". The granddaughter of Christian Missionaries, young Carissa grew up with a genuine and unique perspective on the virtue of giving back and making a difference through even the simplest of actions. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Sociology minor. She later received a Master's Degree, Summa Cum Laude, in Public Administration with a focus on Nonprofit Management. While pursuing her respected degrees, she served as a founding member and President of her local Student United Way chapter and served as a Habitat for Humanity volunteer through the campus affiliate. Carissa lives in rural Elkmont, Alabama with her husband and two daughters where they enjoy hiking, making music, and of course, dress-up and gardening.
