Autorenporträt
Darlene Dufour, storyteller for the young at heart, has thirty years' experience in teaching and counseling. She taught students from ages twelve to sixty-seven in elementary, junior high, high school, and postsecondary schools in Louisiana. Dufour began writing and telling her stories to elementary school students but soon found that adults enjoyed listening as much as the students did. She discovered that storytelling is a wonderful method of promoting good behavior as well as teaching core subjects. Four of her stories were published in Mar*Co's Special Situations, a book of twenty-seven classroom lessons for grades K-5. She has been an invited teller at storytelling conferences and festivals throughout the United States as well as in Australia, France, and South Africa. Darlene earned a BS in business education, an MS in business education, and an EdS in secondary education.
