Between 1968 and 1978 Paul Rossiter lived in London, Tokyo, Scotland, and the English Lake District. Originally from Cornwall, Paul Rossiter has lived in Japan since 1981. After retiring from teaching at the University of Tokyo in 2012, he founded Isobar Press, which specialises in publishing both English-language poetry from Japan and translations of modern and contemporary Japanese poetry.
