The curriculum presents scientific concepts, promotes investigative skills and healthy lifestyle choices, and introduces students to healthcare and scientific careers in the context of teaching about diseases and conditions that disproportionately affect minorities. The curriculum was developed under a Science Education Partnership Award (SEPA) from the National Center for Research Resources at the National Institutes of Health.
