Autorenporträt
Parto left her birth country of Iran for the United States at age seventeen. As a young girl living alone in a new country, Parto felt compelled to become self-reliant and reflective about her life experiences. Her exposure to new philosophies and viewpoints that varied from those of her youth flamed a curiosity and a journey to seek answers to her questions surrounding life, death, self, and spirituality. After a successful professional career, Parto has embarked on a new path to publicly share her lifelong questions and perceptions in the first compilation of her work. Today, Parto continues to write poetry, create art and design products that feature her poetry.
