In order to improve the understanding of the behavior of anchors embedded in concrete, methods of analytical simulations and the analytical comparisons with experimental results are presented. In particular this book presents the performances of headed anchors with consideration of several parameters like: normal strength concrete vs. high strength concrete, cracked concrete vs. uncracked concrete, monotonic loading vs. cyclic loading, hexahedral mesh (8 nodes) vs. tetrahedral mesh (4 nodes), different contact layers, wide support vs. close support and effect of model parameters (fracture energy, tensile strength and cyclic damage factors).
