The overall objective of this book is to evaluate the performance of seismic behavior of headed anchors with cracked and uncracked concrete. From the headed anchors load is transferred into base material by mechanical interlock. In order to improve the understanding of the behavior of anchors embedded in concrete, methods of analytical simulations and the analytical comparisons with experimental results are presented. In particular this book presents the performances of headed anchors with consideration of several parameters like: normal strength concrete vs. high strength concrete, cracked concrete vs. uncracked concrete, monotonic loading vs. cyclic loading, hexahedral mesh (8 nodes) vs. tetrahedral mesh (4 nodes), different contact layers, wide support vs. close support and effect of model parameters (fracture energy, tensile strength and cyclic damage factors).
