Lafcadio Hearn est un écrivain irlandais, qui prendra la nationalité japonaise sous le nom de Yakumo Koizumi. Il passe les quatorze dernières années de sa vie au Japon. Il fut un des grands introducteurs en Europe de la culture et de la littérature japonaises.
