There is no specific code available so far for SCC even though it has started to find wide application in modern days and also there is no well defined mix proportioning procedure developed. In order to study the feasibility of using the concepts of SCC with locally available materials, this research is taken up and a mix proportioning procedure is developed for medium strength concrete. Based on the results obtained in the investigations, a mix proportioning procedure is developed. This mix proportioning procedure is adopted for the production of SCC and results are verified and furnished in the book.

Dr.V.Subramania Bharathi received his B.E degree in Civil Engineering in 1994 and M.E degree in StructuralEngineering in 2005 from Thiyagarajar College of Engineering, Madurai.
