There is a proliferation of Martial Arts clubs throughout the world which sadly do not prepare the average citizen on how to handle a crime situation in the real world. This is because most of these clubs are very competition oriented, and promote rules that do not apply in a street situation. This book is focused on giving the average citizen a balanced view of the dangers out there, and how to react to those dangers. It discusses preventive measures to avoid encountering dangerous situations, and then should those situations arise despite the measures, how to handle yourself in order to mitigate the negative consequences resulting from such an encounter. A number of very effective physical moves are discussed, with illustrations, which can be employed should other courses of action such as just handing over your valuables not assure the well-being of your family, friends and your own.
