Residents of landfill sites are exposed to different health problems and symptoms. In addition to residential arrangements, the environmental set up of schools may also facilitate the development of potential health effects on children through exposure to in- or outdoor air pollutants in areas where landfills are located. Abune Basilios primary school is within 300m of Repi landfill, while Ediget Behibret is about 10km away from Repi in Addis Ababa.
