The current book explores the effect of translators' knowledge of SP on choosing appropriate equivalents, resulting in more translation accuracy. Drawing from the results of the study, the authors demonstrated that if there is more than one equivalent of a word in another language, the knowledge of SP may help choosing the best one. The book includes five chapters. Chapter1 provides a brief summery about the background of the study and introduces related concepts to SP. Review of the related literature concerning previous studies about SP and all related concepts to this notion are covered in chronological order in Chapter2. Chapter3 deals with the methodology and design of the study adopted. Moreover, theoretical framework of SP and translation studies are outlined in details in this chapter. The present work reports on the data, data collection and data analysis in Chapter4. The findings and results of the study obtained and the related discussions are illustrated in this chapter, too. The final chapter, Chapter5, draws on the conclusions and implications of the study as well as suggestions for further research.
