Mother, computer programmer/analyst, landscape artist, silver-smith, past private pilot, Shirley Mason wrote and enhanced software systems. During those years, there wasn't adequate time to raise children, paint, and write. So to keep thinking about words and putting one here, and another there, she wrote limericks in stop-and-go traffic. Long hours and long commutes prohibited serious writing other than documenting systems. These days, she writes stories her imagination played out when her head was not inside a computer. In between stories, she paints, and practices silver-smithing. www.shirleymason.com, slarsen22@aol.com.
