The club is a merger of two clubs who played in the S.League in past years Paya Lebar Punggol Football Club and Sengkang Marine Football Club. The club plays its home games at the Hougang Stadium, where both Paya Lebar Punggol FC and Sengkang Marine FC had previously been based. Sengkang Punggol finished runners-up in the inaugural Singapore League Cup competition in 2007.
