Deacon is proud at his first attempt at building a robot. After his overeager father, Kyle, installs a voice modulator without Deacon's knowledge, the entire family becomes aware of the robot's sentience. It doesn't take long for the new creation to make demands and assess the human race as flawed and weak. For fear that harm will come to his family, Kyle decides that he must obey the robot's orders to be taken to a facility so that it can communicate with others of its kind. After all, A.I. is flawless, or so it thinks.
