Produktbeschreibung
The main objective of this book is to describe enhanced service oriented architectural models for power system stability studies using Web service technologies. Due to deregulated environment in the power sectors and unpredicted increase in demand, there is an exponential growth in power system networks to meet the desired operational level. Transient stability analysis plays a significant role in ensuring the stable operation of power systems in the event of large disturbances. With the growth of continued electrification, increasing geographical scale of electricity and high integration with information technologies, power system management requires new approaches using distributed environments. To cope up with the new paradigm Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) based on Web services standards provides a mechanism for open and flexible interaction between heterogeneous power system operations. The stability services are configured and deployed in the service provider for enabling universal visibility and access to the power system clients. The message oriented style of SOA using Simple Object Access Protocol makes the power system service provider and the clients to exist in a loosely coupled environment. The proposed model portraits stability services in distributed environment that provides flexible, scalable and reliable infrastructure for representing and analysis of power system transient stability problems.
