Sesame is an organic oil crop and white gold producing in northern Ethiopia however its productivity is very low as compared with other countries thhis is mainly due to Sesame seed bug, web worm, mealy bug, bacterial blight, phyllody, fusarium wilt, Diruya, dodder, Commelia latifolia, Corchorus trilocularis, Xanthium abyssinicum, Indigofera spp are among the major sesame production constraints in northern Ethiopia.
