Isaac Miebi Mendez, a Nigerian resident of the United Kingdom, discovered his passion for writing through a profound desire to uplift his country and the world around him. With a degree in Creative Writing from Liverpool John Moores University, he embraced the power of words to foster positive change. Isaac's works have graced the pages of various anthologies, including "We are not small pieces," a thought-provoking online anthology on African politics by Atmostterrific. Additionally, his contributions can be found in "Different Voices- Shared Lives," a captivating collection available in Liverpool libraries and bookstores. Isaac's talent and dedication to the craft were recognized as he earned a spot as a shortlisted candidate for the prestigious Bridport International Poetry Prize in 2022. Through his writing, Isaac Miebi Mendez aims to inspire meaningful conversations and contribute to a brighter future for his beloved country and beyond. He performs regularly with The Dead Poets Society every month in Liverpool and works and volunteers with various writing organisations.
