SEVENTY STEPS UPON MOUNT GRACE is an inspired treatise from an adult mind. In it, the author looks back on a journey that has spanned some momentous decades of his life. From a life lived majorly under the tropical sun of Africa, it all started through a sublime one-man one-wife setting as the author relives his parental history and that of his late siblings that were once his co-travelers. Copiously recounted are the adventure of youth, his early education years and the fond memories of Christ's school - a unique institution of learning founded by missionaries from England. At middle age, higher local and foreign educational pursuits combined with work life to launch him towards a career pathway within the Water Resources engineering sector. There were dark clouds that literally hovered around his 'mountains' and inexplicably tampered with the door to glory. Then came Grace. Its ample dose couldn't be lost on the author. This was the springboard he needed to unwrap the story of a blessed life and his hope to humbly give something back to his community. Victor Adebayo OKE was born in Ikere, Ekiti State, Nigeria in 1950. He studied at Christ's school, Ado Ekiti and The Polytechnic, Ibadan, Nigeria.
