Mario Milco D'Elios is full Professor and Chair of General Pathology & Immunology at the University of Siena and Specialist in Clinical Immunology and Medicine. After obtaining his degree cum laude in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Florence (1990), he specialized with honors in Allergology and Clinical Immunology (1993) at the same university. Member of Italian Society of Clinical Immunology and Allergy, he is also member of the European Scientific Committee on Gastrointestinal lymphomas since 2006 and member of the European Scientific Group on Immunology of Helicobacter pylori infection since 2004. Professor of General Pathology and Immunology, and Principal Investigator at the University of Siena, his fields of expertise are immunodeficiency, mucosal immunology, T cells, and he has published over 200 scientific papers in the field of immunology and immunodeficiency.
