Autorenporträt
At eighteen and working under the stage name Steve Savage, Stanulis became a performer at local, all- male dance revues. A year later, he would be called by the NYPD to join their ranks. While serving as a uniformed patrolman, and with his passion for the adult entertainment business undiminished, Steve still managed to perform during his off hours. Eventually, he'd start his own adult dance troupe, Savage Men, which would be voted the number one show in both New York and Atlantic City. After retiring from the NYPD as a decorated officer, Steve became a security consultant specializing in providing protection to a host of international superstar clients. Almost immediately, Stanulis becomes a popular face among the entertainment set, and this in turn leads to getting encouragement to pursue a career as an actor. Building on his experience as a stage performer, he would make his debut performance on HBO's "The Sopranos". This led to more featured roles in films such as "Cupidity" and "Darkroom" with Kaylee Defer. In addition to acting, Steve branched out into film producing with several features already under his belt. His film, "The Invisible Life of Thomas Lynch," won the Audience Award for Best Feature Film at the prestigious CMJ Film Festival, beating out the more heavily promoted, "Paranormal Activity" and "Men Who Stare At Goats". Stanulis' lead performance would garner a best actor nomination as well, finishing second to George Clooney. In 2012, Steve Stanulis created and produced "Stripped: The Play", a theatrical piece about the world of male dancing. This show would go on to be voted the number one off-Broadway play by the New York Times and it would open to rave reviews in Las Vegas a year later. Currently, Steve manages a full schedule, producing and performing in films, including "The Networker," which released in 2107.
