This work is composed of three chapters, covering and developing each of the more specific issues, illustrating the points addressed in the content of this research work; in chapter one, it deals with: sex work for self-determination, which is composed of the following topics: sex work, definition of sex work, denominations of sex workers, spaces and modalities of sex work, among others described therein, in chapter two, refers about: In chapter two, it refers to: the recognition of the labour rights of sex workers; and in chapter three, it covers: the non-inclusion of sex work in legislation; the stigmatization and discrimination of sex workers; and international instruments and their relation to the right to sex work. This problem is latent due to the lack of recognition of the rights of sex workers by self-determination or their own decision in Guatemalan legislation. This work is a contribution to the recognition in Guatemalan legislation of sex work and the labour rights of this sector of the population.
