Youth, a considerable percent of Indian population are experiencing rapid changes in a fast changing world. The general failure to understand young people's sexual concerns, in a society that continues to consider sex a taboo subject, urges urgent attention on young sexually active males, for the development of the society in general and young people in particular. The study examines young males' knowledge and attitude towards sex, besides their sexual involvement and coping strategies for unintended sexual health outcomes. Further, it explores cultural and contextual determinants of sexual behavior that is of immense importance for formulating appropriate interventions addressing sexual decision making, and perceived gender roles of the youth. The book should be useful especially to researchers as well as academicians interested in sexual health, adolescent/youth health and gender issues plus policy makers and program planners to prepare more suitable strategy for youth focused programs in developing countries.
